We will have the test results available within 2 weeks after we receive your dog’s sample at our lab. We will ship the test kit to you via the US Postal Service the next business day after you place your order.

Congratulations! You no longer have to guess the breed of your dog.

Many customers have dogs where one, or more, of the breeds is not obvious. This is common especially with mixed breed dogs from a shelter. Knowing the breed is valuable to understanding your dog. The breed can impact temperament and other behaviors. Some breeds are also more susceptible to various ailments than others.

If your dog has a condition where there is an increased health risk, you can share it with your vet.  This can help your vet identify a health issue earlier, if it ever happens. While we provide information on the condition in the report, a vet can address your specific questions and, if necessary, help make a plan for monitoring any condition for which your dog is at increased risk. 

No. This is perhaps the most common concern expressed with any Dog DNA test. If your dog comes from parents and grandparents of different breeds, there is no way to predict which one the dog will look most like.   

We see this all the time in people. We all know brothers and sisters from the same parents who do not look alike! We see people who do not even look like either of their parents or even grandparents. The same idea applies to dogs.
