Behavior & Disposition
The Australian Terrier is loyal, courageous, alert, intelligent, spirited, and affectionate. They tend to play well with children. However adult supervision is recommended when playing with other dogs.
Activity Level
The Australian Terrier has a high activity level, but it is still easy for the breed to become overweight. The Australian Terrier should be carefully monitored for calorie consumption.
Training
Due to their stubborn nature, consistent training with Australian Terriers is recommended. Positive reinforcement training with treats, toys, and compliments is usually effective. Short training sessions are recommended to avoid boredom.
